Don't forget to wear your "fancy" collared shirt for grad photos tomorrow!

8L: you will need to fill out a survey between April 9th and May 15th.  Once you have completed it, please let me know so I can check your name off the list.  The survey can be found here:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/yrdsb2015StudentGrade7and8

English: Pitches on Friday (for those who are done, they may present theirs tomorrow).  When preparing for your pitch, here are some tips for your opening line: do not begin in the following way: "My story is about a boy who...".  Instead, start with: "A boy, 13, is alone..." As well, the Canadian Environmental agencies presentations are due Friday.

Math: Review for the unit test.  In a shocking move, I have moved the date of the test to MONDAY!
Here's a little video refresher on converting fractions to percentages to decimals

English:
countdown to the in-class essay (Friday).  Your child should be reviewing his/her frameworks, re-reading parts of the novel, and talking about his/her ideas.  As well, if your child has questions, encourage him/her to come see me and ask away!

Math:
Finished the unit, and now on to unit review.  NO homework in math tonight as I would like the class to focus on the essay preparation.  Unit test is going to be on MONDAY.
Here is a little video my son and I made about ordering fractions. Enjoy.
